First project using Ink Road Stamps
Hi and welcome to my first blog post! I'm very excited to start this journey with you and to share my love of crafting! So the other day, my Ink Road Stamps came in, here is a link to that video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwhTj8vD-yQ and I couldn't wait to get playing.
I used a 4x4 canvas that I applied gesso to. Gesso is a primer and is applied to canvas before using.
I did this to a bunch of my small canvases in one day so I would have them ready to go. Then I painted it with pale blue acrylic paint and let that dry. I applied two coats. Once that dried, I started
die cutting my rainbow die. I rain it through the die cutting machine multiple times using for the different colors of the rainbow. This way, if I need more rainbows in the future, I will have a bunch to choose from.
I also die cut a few clouds as well to use at the end of the rainbow. Once the die cutting was complete, I used a tape runner to adhere the rainbow and clouds to the canvas. I used my Mini Misti to align the canvas and the placement of the sentiment stamp. Next, I used my anti static tool to remove any static from the canvas in the area where my sentiment would be stamped. After the sentiment was stamped, I heat embossed it with some old gold embossing powder I've had for a long time.
I thought the canvas looked a little too empty after I finished embossing the sentiment, so I added some Nuovo drops in Blizzard white to the image. I might have gone a little overboard! LOL... I also used a white gel pen to highlight parts of the rainbow and a clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to the clouds. Here is the finished product. Thanks for reading my first blog post!
